Description: Produced in the L’Aquila zone of Abruzzo in a mountainous area known as the ‘oven of Abruzzo’ which gets hot in the day and cool at night allowing for great character development in the wine. Deep ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little transparency.  The bouquet on the nose is intense, clean and pleasing, with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, plum, and violet followed by pleasing aromas of walnut-husk.  On the palate it is balanced with agreeable tannin, good body, and intense flavors; persistent finish with flavors of black cherry and plum.
